Brighton, MA — “Notch Taproom at The Speedway” The second location for Notch, we continued the reclaimed aesthetic by diving deep into this property’s history. Originally the base for a one-mile harness-racing course and two-mile bicycle track along the Charles River, the complex included horse stables, garages, housing and even a cow barn. The advent of automobiles led to the racetracks being replaced with Soldiers Field Rd and the Speedway becoming a police station (the jail cells can still be found in the basement.)

Warm were mindful of sound attenuation, while keeping the space warm and comfortable. Substantial, solid wood meets stark cleanliness. Design Services and build by BDSB.

Taco Party, Somerville, MA — With the goal of expanding into the neighboring space for a bar and dining room, we weaved two storefronts into one, cohesive restaurant.

Notch Taproom, Salem, MA -- In collaboration with ID8Design, Chris Lohring's vision for his beloved brand's home base was realized. Bailey Davol Studio Build built the distinctive bar, benches and tables using 100+ year-old lumber reclaimed from the structure's ceiling. We also built the menu board, and created custom paint finishes and branding (metal work and with actual fire!)

East Coast Grill, Cambridge, MA - Wall-to-wall renovation of this iconic Inman Square landmark restaurant. A fresh look for new owners and a new era of authentic dining experiences.

The Quiet Few, Jeffries Point, East Boston, MA —The use of rich woods, deep colors and a classic tin ceiling were instrumental in turning a cafe into this already beloved neighborhood watering hole. The hand-carved sign was fashioned in our studio as well. Just off the path from the ICA ferry to Water Shed. Check it out some time.

Roxy's A4Cade, Cambridge, MA -- Millwork, Pac-man ceiling clouds, bars, banquettes, counters, special finishes. Has to be seen to be believed!

Union Square Donuts, Somerville, MA -- This former convenience store space was completely reimagined. Reclaimed wood fixtures and floors are complemented by custom concrete counters and unconventional fixtures and lighting. Complete with a commercial baking production kitchen and seating for 15, this project was entirely designed and built by the Bailey•Davol team.

The Sinclair, Cambridge MA -- In an ongoing partnership with Studio Tyak and the client we have made multiple improvements to this unique space. The Club Car is a complete renovation of a corner of the dining room. From the curved ceiling to the custom built-ins and finishes, this project transformed an otherwise underused space. The street-level menu board is a recycled display case with added subway tile, LED lighting, reclaimed railroad ties, ipe, and stainless steel. We also designed and installed a substantial underground anchoring system.
The server stations were constructed with ipe, aluminum, and stainless steel.
